Tools When using the Shape tool, you can access all commands on the property bar even after stretching and scaling nodes. I realize this was just a hotfix, but I see they still didn't address the scale with image bug. It's really hard to remember to turn off scale with image before changing line weights and to ungroup before resizing and to fix the miter on some elements after resizing. With this issue, some element's line weights get messed up in my final print file export to ai when opened in Illustrator.
I could convert all outlines to objects before exporting, but I'd much rather have this bug fixed. It never happened in any other version. Let me make a suggestion, since this is the default and has been forever you may want to think that other users in testing suggested this default setting was a better idea. Whether it is on not is up to the user but I'd bet they're not going to change it. Thanks guys, but that is not the bug.
I have many symbols and images which need to have scale with image ON. There is a bug when using that setting that is causing issues. Oh these two, I remember now. We did forward the information to Corel but I would say the chances of getting them fixed in an X7 update are pretty slim. My guess is the update 6 hotfix may very well be the last update, unless anything crucial turns up.
Based on previous version cycles, they are most likely focusing on X8 by now. Hope you can live with the workarounds. Why not change the default Miter limit to something lower by the way? Can't say for sure but I think the default is 5 degrees and the same problem was actually present already in X6, with a 45 degree miter limit. Any special reason it is set to be 45 degrees? In that case: Make sure no object is selected. Double click the pen icon in Status Bar. Since nothing is selected this will bring up the Change Document Defaults dialog.

Hi Ronny, I guess I'll have no choice but to live with the workarounds. That doesn't bother me as much as the random elements that get messed up when I export my final to Illustrator. Sometimes it's not so easily spotted, and I'd be bummin if it went to print with the wrong line weight on one segment of a symbol, which happens randomly.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for the issue to be resolved in X8. If you end up as a beta tester, I'd be forever in your debt if you could watch for that. I just left the miter at the default of It was never an issue before to leave it at that, but now I'll certainly change it. Thanks again!
